Hand-harvested, made with spontaneous fermentation
Many of the wines in use today for the Divine Liturgy contain bagged yeast, sugars, tannins, citric and tartaric acids, and even high-fructose corn syrup – and yet the canons of our church are clear that we should only offer pure grape wine.
St. Tikhon’s Sacramental Wine meets this standard at an exceptionally reasonable price and is now available for shipping to most US states.
No added yeast, water, sugars, tannins, citric acid, or tartaric acid
The mystery of the Eucharist begins not just at the Liturgy, but long before, in the preparation of what we will offer. As we know from Holy Scripture, what we offer to our Lord must be our best. St. Tikhon’s Monastery Sacramental Wine is made in strict accordance with the Church canons and specifically consecrated for the task of the Eucharist. Our wine is 100% pure, 100% organic, and 100% natural.
St. Tikhon's Wine is crafted and bottled at O-Neh-Da Vineyards, America’s oldest and last dedicated sacramental winery.
O-Neh-Da was founded in 1872 to make pure grape wine for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy and follows strictly the code of canon law which specifies that the wine must be natural fruit of the vine and not corrupt, with no admixture of extraneous substances.
SHIPPING
We use a third-party shipper located in the NYC area that specializes in shipping wine safely and securely via FedEx Home. Currently, our website only supports shipping via USPS, so we have adjusted the shipping calculator to the equivalent cost of shipping FedEx. Thus, though selecting USPS Priority, your wine will actually be shipped FedEx.
We regret that we are unable to ship to Alaska and Hawaii, due to the very high cost of doing so.
