Imprints

An imprint is the 10.5x2.125" space found at the bottom of the last page of the wall calendar. The imprint is the space where a church or ministry communicates information about them. This often includes images, clergy names, and service schedule.

The imprint form serves several different purposes, namely data collection and organization. This is where you indicate the information you'd like on your imprint, such as clergy names, service schedule, and sponsor information. In turn, we take the information provided to either design or change your imprint (if using a previous year's as a jumping-off point). The imprint form truly has been a tremendous aid in centralizing over 300 churches' (across the USA and beyond!) imprint information.

You must fill out the imprint form before placing your pre-order. If you miss this step, we will reach out and ask that you fill out the form, even if you are not making any changes to your previous year's imprint.

You can include anything that reasonably fits into a 10.5 x 2.125 inch space (landscape) and is relevant to your church/ministry.

Many churches and ministries include their community name, contact information, address, clergy names, and sponsor information. Others may not have as much information to communicate on their imprint and simply put their community's name along with a website.

While imprint design is included with your bulk pre-order, we ask you to provide any images you would like on your imprint, such as logos and crosses. These images need to be print-quality and around 300 ppi. At this time, we do not design logos or crosses for churches, nor increase image resolution to print quality.

Please note that while we do our best to beautifully integrate all information you request, we may not be able to reasonably accommodate your request. For example, we may contact you and have you consolidate your clergy list to 2-3 clergy, rather than all priests, attached priests, and your deacons and readers.

We offer digital proofs when requested through the imprint form, before we send the file to the printer. Please allow 5-10 business days for email receipt. We gladly provide 1 revision after the first proof, for a total of 2 proofs.

You can think of an imprint proof as a "digital preview" of what your imprint will look like before we send it to the printer.

An imprint proof may be useful to you if you are making a lot of changes, or 1-2 big changes (such as adding/removing a sponsor or changing your church's logo). If you are not making major changes, you can still request a proof, but keep in mind that the process does add more time to your fulfillment process.

To request a proof, we ask that you indicate as such in your imprint form and ensure that the email address you use to place your pre-order is valid and easily accessible. We deliver proofs to the email provided when you placed your pre-order within 5-10 church business days, including feast days as non-working days. We gladly provide 1 revision after the first proof, for a total of 2 proofs.

Pre-order

We differentiate our pre-orders into two categories: pre-ordering for individuals, and pre-ordering for churches.

For our purposes, an individual is someone who is ordering for themselves, or perhaps family and friends. Wall calendar pre-orders for individuals are limited to 19 or fewer in quantity. Please note that calendars offered to individuals do not require filling out the imprint form. Pre-orders for individuals are wall calendars that include the bookstore’s imprint.

Pre-orders for churches, on the other hand, are for those who plan on ordering 20+ calendars for their ministry, community, or church. We only offer custom imprints to those who are pre-ordering 20+ wall calendars. We require that all who place bulk pre-orders fill out an imprint form

A pre-order is essentially a reservation your church/ministry places for the following year's wall calendars, rubrics, and pocket planners. We often run out of the calendars we design and source from our local printer, so for over a decade, we have offered pre-ordering.

You can pre-order by following the steps in the video here.

Shipping and Fulfillment

During the pre-ordering period and onward, our monastery-based team at STM Press takes care to design, update, and prepare customer requests for printing. Our local printer hand-assembles each wall calendar and processes anywhere from five to ten orders per business day. Traditionally, fulfillment has begun during the first weeks of November on a first-come, first-served basis. This year, however, we have made a few changes that we pray will streamline and speed up the process for churches.

We do ship outside of the continental US. If you run into any trouble with shipping, please send us an email at calendars@stspress.com
