Beautifully bound, poorly packed with candles

5 stars for the product! Beautifully cloth-bound book, and the hymns are lovely and attainable for a small group of singers (as is so common at Vespers.) Unfortunately the book was packed with candles in the same box and not well separated, so there was a good deal of candle wax on the cover when it arrived.

Love the color and hard cover!

I'm very excited to begin using the Great Vespers books! I've been using the old comb-bound copy for a few years. It's nice to have hard-cover copies that can go on a shelf next to the Divine Liturgy books; it looks like part of a cohesive whole. (Can't wait for the Matins, Horologion, etc...)

I wish the ornamental details, like in the Divine Liturgy book, were drawn from the collection on Orthodox Arts Journal, but that is my only complaint, if complaint it may be called.

A note about the octoechos at Lord I Call and the Aposticha:
I think this perfectly draws on the strengths of common chant and Kievan chant in a way that I think could work for the entire OCA.

I purchased these (5 each), as well as the Divine Liturgy books, as part of the curriculum for a youth choir, where they will (God willing) learn how to sing in two, three, and four parts from this notation. I hope this proves to be very effective. Thank you for all of your work!
