Suffer with You is a unique collection of essays on the theme of forgiveness. These are not the idle musings of armchair theologians but lessons learned in the dark valleys of the U.S. prison system. Two of the authors were incarcerated; one still so. Others, like Father John Kowalczyk, have spent decades ministering to the incarcerated at state and federal prisons. One man learns how to forgive his mother’s murderer, another commits a hate crime and now leads a prayer group for racial reconciliation with his fellow inmates; a former pastor wrestles with the long-term effects of his crime in his essay, "Will She Ever Forgive Me?" One final expository essay leads the reader through the “Liturgy of Forgiveness”, a systematic prayer rule first conceived by +Schemanun Siluana Vlad. It shows a way that we may all draw closer to God’s radical forgiveness and share that forgiveness with others.
